      <image:title>2020 - Tinder Machine</image:title>
<image:caption>"Tinder Machine" was born accidentally in the summer of 2020: during a dinner with a friend, I downloaded Tinder, tried it for less than an hour, and already had a cynical view of the "showcase" mode it offered me. The conversion into an image was triggered the next day, when I saw a claw machine in front of a bar in my town. The image, as I conceived and created it, communicates the possibility of winning casual sex. But you don't always win: in fact, the more you lose, the more you want to try again. The power of this image lies in the inflatable dolls, which symbolize the cold, emotionless sex that can sometimes arise from encounters arranged through dating apps. To this day, it is the key image that has brought my art to a wider audience.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2020 - Sorry, You Can't Log Out</image:title>
<image:caption>“Sorry, You Can’t Log Out” was born from the feeling of mental weakness caused by endless social media scrolling, an infinite loop that keeps us from closing the app. It’s that mechanism that robs us of decision making power, leaving us unable to say “enough”, instead repeating “just 5 more minutes”. This feeling of disorientation and dependency is something we all experience, so I tried to capture that while creating a character who is desperately trying to escape this cycle. However, there’s no way out, and he will inevitably be pulled back into his screen.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2020 - Social Art is like Milk</image:title>
<image:caption>Milk, if not bought with a long shelf life, doesn’t last more than a week. Starting from this statement, I associated art with a bottle of milk. Art shared online has a very short lifespan in the minds of those who view it. The themes addressed by online artists are usually the most trending ones, the famous "like catchers", and even in this case, after a maximum of two weeks, no one will remember the image presented. In short: art on social media is something too fast, that dies, that doesn't have too much attention on it. Art on social media has a expiration, like milk.</image:caption>

<image:caption>I was listening to "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths in my old studio. I was really down, the year before I had lost my mother in a completely unexpected way, and the event changed the lives of everyone close to her. In 2020, my relationship with her family deteriorated dramatically. Every event, every argument, every problem exuded a heavy physical and mental toxicity. It was hard on my father, my brother, and me. But in certain cases, you have to experience things through filters to avoid ruining your life. This is the only portrait of the three of us that I wanted to create. My mother's favorite flower was the sunflower.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2020 - Love Yourself</image:title>
<image:caption>Nobody ever really talks much about the Virgin Mary. She gets prayed to a lot, sure, but I’m not too interested in her story. From the way I heard it as a kid, I see her as too much of a secondary character. Was she gluten intolerant? Did she have any particular mental hang-ups? Did she have one arm shorter than the other? So one day, I started imagining a Virgin Mary who loved herself so much that she managed to create a pregnancy all on her own. The true and pure champion of independence, who could’ve had another story, where the focus of her life was always her, and her alone. But nope, someone else ended up taking the spotlight in the end.</image:caption>

The final image created by all these ads is horrible, and perfectly reflects the killing of the advertising aesthetic that this spam carries on without limits. According to many studies, we see everyday 3000 images between Television, Social and Web. Of all the ones I have saved, I don't remember one and its purpose.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Fuck, I really hate Italian TV. My anger focuses on two main areas: evening journalism and the special guests on afternoon shows. These are people you’d never expect to see talking on television. But the real problem isn’t them, it’s those who take them seriously, simply because the medium is TV. It shapes the thoughts and behavior of its viewers. The real "New Media" isn’t a smartphone or a VR headset, but the ability to spout bullshit for an hour or two and convince the best part of the population: the bored and absent-minded.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A visual representation of how people can look at the same thing but perceive it differently. In this case, provocatively, I aimed to create the point of view of a capitalist art dealer. I imagined their mind switching the price tag with the artwork, giving more importance to its monetary value than to the piece itself. The real issue isn't so much the emphasis on something other than the artwork, but rather the significance money takes on when viewing it, especially if the artist is dead.</image:caption>

<image:caption>"Impara a Nuotare" (Learn to swim) has always been my mantra. I can't swim, and I'm truly afraid of the water. I tried to look within myself and imagine what people feel when they swim. The words that came to mind were lightness and peace. Lightness, both mental and physical, is represented by the jellyfish and the clouds. Peace, on the other hand, is symbolized by the two fish gently touching the protagonist's eyes. In the background, the phrase "Impara a Nuotare" seems to gradually outline itself, as if it's fading, but at the same time, it leaves room for personal growth, without completely disappearing. The blood from the nose represents anxiety, stress, and the fragility of the human mind, which, once immersed in water, no longer carries the weight it does on solid ground.</image:caption>

<image:caption>One of the rhetorical devices I love most when reading is the oxymoron. The combination of opposing elements sometimes creates incredibly powerful lines that stick in my mind because of the surprising contrast. I tried to recreate the same effect in the visual realm, pairing it with a message you'd never expect to see on a stroller: "Use condoms".</image:caption>

      <image:title>2021 - No Lovers, OnlyFans</image:title>
<image:caption>This artwork conveys its message starting from the title, aiming to address the commodification of sexuality and the absence of romantic or emotional connections online. In the background, a gigantic woman with her legs spread open dominates the scene, with a procession of indistinct people at her feet worshipping and submissive. These figures represent the audience, drawn to her light like moths to a light. She is depicted in a state of pleasure, drenched in a shower of money. In the lower right corner, a man is seen reading a sign. He could be the only one experiencing authentic feelings. However, he knows that the giant figure before him is not the right woman for him. Finally, the lack of sharp details in the background and the heavily desaturated colors combine perfectly to create a distinctly dystopian atmosphere.</image:caption>

This image focuses on the freedom of thought on social media, but not in the initial phase. Let's imagine three comments: the first, “A”, expresses an opinion; the second, “B”, replies with a completely different perspective. This image represents “A”, ready to destroy its rationality just to defend its opinion in the third comment.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2021 - Sweep Under The Carpet</image:title>
<image:caption>When something is swept under the carpet, especially dirt, it’s a clear sign that our sense of responsibility is failing. We refuse to acknowledge that it would actually take very little to truly set things right. With this piece, I wanted to visually represent the situation on Italy’s coasts, focusing on the concept of responsibility. Every time a politician speaks on the matter, the blame or solution is always shifted onto Europe. The real issue, however, is that as soon as Europe is mentioned, the problem seems to disappear. No one takes responsibility, and the lives lost daily in the Mediterranean become just another tragedy to hide under the rug.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2021 - New Babies for New Generations</image:title>
<image:caption>Everything we do today will become a legacy for future generations. I imagined a stork, traditionally the symbol of new babies' arrival, as the messenger of this change. However, looking at the latest data on birth rates and waste management, I asked myself: in the not-too-distant future, what will this stork actually deliver? Increasing amounts of waste and fewer and fewer babies. The backdrop to this scene is no longer a clear blue sky, but a hazy, greyish horizon, reflecting the current state of air pollution.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The situation in European seas is increasingly tragic. In my country, Italy, people without culture become more and more racist, bringing their religion to the fore of their culture. What I do not explain is how many subjects can feel pity for someone told in the Bible an not for those who die at sea every day, seen as an “enemy” especially for the color of their skin. So here you are satisfied, that galilean of Jesus was also black.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2021 - American School Simulator</image:title>
<image:caption>With all the news about American schools, I wanted to create, in a very satirical way, the "perfect" simulator. There are simulators for everything: flight, driving, real life. So, to represent the American school system, I imagined a 90s-style point-and-shoot game as a base. The idea would be to recreate the famous DOOM game, with the same dynamics, but set entirely in a school environment. Programming something like this wouldn't be difficult; the real issue is that this idea is incredibly controversial, perhaps the most ethically questionable one I've ever had.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2022 - Love Till Your Death</image:title>
<image:caption>Being highly sensitive, I can easily recognize the dynamics of a relationship where the man displays deep insecurities. I’ve met, and it’s nothing to be proud of, women who suffer verbal and physical abuse from their partner, finding themselves in such a difficult position that they can’t leave him, no matter what. Inspired by the phrase "Love Till Death" I’ve titled this piece "Love Till Your Death" creating an engagement ring in the shape of brass knuckles. Many women know what they’re facing, but as I mentioned, they can’t stop what’s happening. This ring symbolizes a grim promise from the partner.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This piece plays on Playboy's famous slogan, "Entertainment for Men", which is one of the most blatant examples of the objectification of women in commercial products. To exaggerate this concept, I created a cover featuring a Pakistani woman wearing a full blue burqa. The situation of Arab women perfectly embodies the essence of Playboy's slogan. The idea would be to print the magazine, filling it with images of Arab women, as if it were a catalog to flip through, amplifying the absurdity and crudeness of this commercialized view of femininity.</image:caption>

The goal is to convey that it is not slaps and punches that shape a perfect child. For this reason, I spent hours working on the texture of this face, trying to represent a face that, in sculpture, is still in the preparation phase. Violence doesn't make us sculptors of our children; they shape themselves through our reflection.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2022 - Amenza</image:title>
<image:caption>This work was created with the intention of being a poster for a concert featuring two bands of my friends, Yora Yora and NCC. They told me they wanted a visual image that only I could create, something with a strong visual impact. When I made it, I was going through a terrible time with myself: I couldn't get out of my own head, and I constantly judged everything I did, labeling it as wrong. In this scene, I wanted to represent two of my fears: the fear of water, which also appears in "Impara a Nuotare" from 2019, and my deep claustrophobia in confined spaces. The character is now overwhelmed; the solution to her problem is right above her, but in the mental state she's in, she will never try to escape from his own mind. She only hopes that on the date above those doors will open.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2022 - Communication Issue</image:title>
<image:caption>The biggest issue I’ve faced, and still experience in friendships and relationships, is the difficulty in communicating with others. I’ve reached a point where, as soon as a conversation starts, both sides immediately assume a defensive position. We all carry past traumas and issues, and the moment we recognize a familiar pattern, triggered by a word, a gesture, or even just a disliked tone of voice, fear sets in. The arguments I witness and experience have turned into personal outbursts, where it feels inevitable to exaggerate and shout just to get the other person’s attention and, for a brief moment, break through to them. This isn’t normal.</image:caption>

<image:caption>"Girl Performing an Arabesque" came about completely random one night before falling asleep. I suddenly imagined a curly-haired girl performing an Arabesque, but instead of wearing a tutu, she was wearing a life jacket. That very night, I created the image and decided to set it on an Italian coastline, with an overturned boat and bodies scattered along the shore. The girl has a vacant look, not facing the viewer, and her lighting is inconsistent with the scene: she's lit as if on a stage, with an artificial light behind her that highlights her within the setting.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This artwork depicts two lovers. The lover on the right is a crash test dummy, with its back against the wall, fully aware that its fate is to absorb the impact. The lover on the left is the impact itself, visually represented as glass, symbolizing the kind of person who crashes into our lives and unloads all their problems onto us. They hurt us, and all we can do is soften the blow. This piece was born after a phone venting session with the friend I now consider most like me, where I was talking about how I keep meeting people who try to cushion their problems with me, hoping for a relationship where I could be their cure. Masculinity, cornered, silenced, unable to say a "no".</image:caption>

Three days a week, we had the opportunity to work from home. The stories we shared and what we were all experiencing were always the same: low salaries, rushing to the bathroom in fear of missing a call, the bed-to-desk route being the only exercise that the little time allowed, a room that became our home/kitchen/office, and the biggest fear for everyone: being marked as absent during the day, especially if there was no work to do. To put it briefly, I would suddenly find myself holding a tooth in my hand. I suffered from tooth pain every day for months, but I avoided going to the dentist to save money so I could live on my own. This self-portrait was made under the influence of painkillers and antibiotics I had taken that day. While working, I experienced excruciating pain in my head, so intense that it physically bent me over when it peaked. I tried to draw it, to describe it, but the pain was so unbearable that I couldn’t do anything except imagine myself in this way.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This work denounces the deplorable situation in the chocolate industry, particularly the condition of child slaves working in cocoa harvesting. Chocolate companies, after repeated pressure from associations and consumers, have acknowledged this reality, but data reveals that none of them have changed suppliers. I chose to depict a cupid as the protagonist, working in the chocolate packaging department,in a dilapidated and chaotic environment, thin and sad, with a vacant look in his eyes.</image:caption>

While those figures once stood to celebrate and protect the emperor for eternity, today these new figures represent the invisible, exploited lives that uphold the foundations of the global economy. <image:title>2024 - Please, Pietà</image:title>
<image:caption>“Please, Pietà” is a modern reinterpretation of Michelangelo's famous Pietà, entirely reimagined and created in 3D. This work transposes the classical iconography into a contemporary context, depicting the plight of today's homeless. The title, blending English and Italian, becomes a silent cry for help, evoking both a plea for compassion and the weight of despair. The use of the word Pietà in its original language is deliberate, a semantic play that underscores the profound meaning of mercy—universal and timeless—that the work seeks to evoke.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Since the possibility of creating images through AI emerged, I have to admit I felt scared. I'm not a big supporter of this technology when it comes to creativity; I firmly believe that creative thinking must be continuously exercised to avoid losing it. I felt that by using AI and bypassing certain steps of thought, my creativity could be at risk. For this reason, I decided to poke a little fun at new digital artists by creating a piece set on Discord, but it doesn’t work because there’s no internet connection. The palette is represented by a keyboard, as in this context, the prompt is the true central brush of this new artistic approach.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2024 - Breakfast Before Riot</image:title>
<image:caption>It's well-known: mornings are tough for everyone. Sometimes, during breakfast, we do absurd things, like eating yogurt and throwing the spoon in the trash instead of the protective foil. This made me wonder how a protester, perhaps even a rather violent one, someone who constantly seeks to stir up chaos through violence, might have breakfast. So, while preparing the molotov on the table, the morning drowsiness causes the cup of tea they were having for breakfast to ignite.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Over the years, I’ve come to hate my work "Tinder Machine". The issue with sharing art online is that it might go viral. "Tinder Machine" suffered this fate, as for years I've seen it reposted in countless variations by magazines and psychology blogs. The real challenge is accepting that, among a large body of work, this piece is always preferred over the others, probably because it generates more engagement. There's a saying that one "hangs up their shoes" when they walk away from something. In this case, I symbolically "hung one of the dolls from the artwork on the cross", thanking it for the miracles it worked in my artistic growth.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Four surveillance cameras are arranged to form a symbol we know all too well. It's not a flag; it's a warning. Every day we are watched: in our actions, our movements, even in our most intimate moments. Yet, we've grown accustomed to it, so much so that we forget someone is watching, that our privacy has value, that control can take silent, pervasive forms. The swastika here no longer represents an ideology, but the invisible mechanism of surveillance we accept without even thinking about it. Sometimes, we need to see things from a different perspective to remind ourselves of their true purpose.</image:caption>

      <image:title>2025 - AI forgive you, always</image:title>
<image:caption>Copy and paste this caption into ChatGPT, it might summarize it for you if it’s too long. For every problem, there’s an AI model that solves it for you, shitty, but it solves it. Maybe you even brag about how good you are at “fixing problems using AI” on LinkedIn: you know very well that you didn’t do shit except write down the problem and wait for the solution, but you love feeling like you’re one of “those who use AI”. But the real problem is that we’re getting used to not having problems, to not making mistakes, so we no longer know how to find real, concrete solutions. And this affects us personally. Because the data is out there, and people are talking: nowadays, it’s preferred to vent or have doubts with an AI agent rather than seriously talk about them with the real people close to us. It’s scary how we’ve lost empathy even for ourselves.</image:caption>

Whoever tries to rewrite the past will end up losing their arm.</image:caption>
