Who tf is micc?
micc is an artistic project born in September 2020, when the artist decided to open an Instagram profile to share thoughts and ideas without worrying about potential censorship. However, the artistic journey began years earlier in the streets, with the installation of posters, framed works, and urban installations, deliberately avoiding spray paint techniques. Over time, micc transitioned to publishing art online.
The name "micc", strictly lowercase, is the nickname given by their parents as a child, and it is essential that it remains simply "micc". Throughout the years, micc has consistently used digital techniques, ranging from graphic design to 3D art. However, it's crucial to understand that the primary "technique" behind these works is the concept they aim to convey, rather than technical precision. If a sculptor is recognized for how they carve, micc seeks to excel in how ideas are communicated. micc considers themself a contemporary artist who enjoys provoking deliberately and explicitly, with the intent to spark original and new thoughts in those who view the works. The creative process is enriched by conversations with people and staying up to date with what's happening in the world.
The symbol that best represents the project, and the official logo, is the "sensitive content eye", the icon that appears on the web when you attempt to view hidden passwords or on social media images deemed "too much”.

micc's first solo exhibition. Over 250 participants in three days. All at the Impact Hub in Rome. Was micc there? No.
-
My curator took care of everything. I was too broke to see my own works in Bologna.
-
A contemporary art exhibition set up in a consultancy office. Hanging art near spreadsheets.
-
First official show. While I was setting everything up, the museum owner asked me two questions: ‘Is that even art?’ and ‘Why don’t you show your face? We get international interviews here.’
-
My first exhibition. I remember all the other artists had plenty of works featuring Christ painted in various ways, while I had a toilet as a chair and a painting of Montecitorio full of dicks.

“Just another person who uses the crap of this world to make money, I don't see the difference between profiting from doing what he criticizes and profiting from criticizing the means he himself uses to profit.”

So far, the micc project has generated zero euros in revenue and a lot of debt. No profit, Andrè. -
"micc, the artist most hated (or almost) by the IG algorithm, which bans it every other day."
